Sanguinaccio is a chocolate cream typical of Carnival, perfect for accompanying chiacchiere. Despite the name, it does not contain blood, but combines two types of chocolate with a spicy touch of cinnamon.
Mix flour, cornstarch, sugar, unsweetened cocoa, vanillin, and cinnamon in a bowl.
Pour the whole milk in a thin stream, stirring well to avoid lumps.
Transfer the mixture to the stove and bring to a boil, stirring continuously.
Continue stirring for 10-15 minutes until you obtain a thick cream.
Add the butter and dark chocolate pieces, turn off the heat and stir until completely melted.
Cover the cream with plastic wrap and let it cool.
Before serving, add chocolate chips or candied fruit to taste.
