Seitan fillets marinated and grilled, served with a creamy sesame and soy sauce, topped with fresh basil and Lemon Pearls for surprising freshness and contrast!
Marinate the seitan: cut the seitan into thick slices, season with soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, and black pepper. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
Prepare the sauce: in a bowl, mix tahini, plant-based milk, lemon juice, a little salt, and garlic (if desired). Emulsify until smooth sauce is obtained.
Grill the seitan: heat a grill pan or non-stick skillet well, cook the seitan 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
Plate: pour the creamy sauce on the bottom of the plate, place the grilled seitan on top, sprinkle with torn fresh basil and toasted sesame seeds.
Finish with Lemon Pearls for a fresh note.
Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
Marinating the seitan is optional but recommended for a more intense flavor.
